Dr. Leonard Moore

Dr. Leonard B. Moore retired from the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) after a career that spanned over 37 years. During his tenure, he served two years as an Area Instructional Officer and was the principal of Dvorak Math and Science Technology Academy for 17 years. Dr. Moore’s experience consists of diverse positions such as Mentor Coach for aspiring principals with New Leaders for New Schools, Assistant Principal, Intensive Math Coordinator and Classroom Teacher. Shortly after retirement from CPS, Dr. Moore became a consultant for the DePaul University Center for Urban Education. In January 2011, he was asked to serve as Acting Principal at Kozminski Community Academy in Chicago.

Dr. Moore’s educational portfolio includes a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Florida; Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Northeastern University in Chicago; and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Ottawa University in Kansas. He also holds an ABA Paralegal Certificate in Estates, Wills and Trust from Roosevelt University. Dr. Moore received a Ministerial Certificate from Living Word Christian Center School of Ministry and Missions and holds a PhD in Biblical Counseling. Dr. Moore is an Ordained Minister and has received many Awards and Certificates for Service and Christian Ministry.
